Finished Miss Mare

Ok so i have finished the animation for Miss Mare its rendered out nicely and the grain for post production has a nice nightmarish feel.

Im happy with it and i have learned new skills like texturing and and lighting and i have achieved the look that the client was looking for.

Also i have rendered and compressed with all the Rave 2011 guidelines.

Overall a very useful project and enjoyable to learn brand new stuff.

Miss Mare Project

I am currently doing many projects as well as the external client 2d work this project Miss Mare is actually my girlfriends final year portfolio piece. A tween Drama Called Miss Mare which is about a teenage girl who can see into peoples dreams and nightmares and then goes out to help and assist the people who's dreams they are.

My girlfriend wrote the script and will be directing and she had pondered doing the nightmares in animation and she asked my assistance to do it so i am now doing it. i decided to do it in CGI

This is the extract that i shall be animating:

We decided instead of the character picking up the mirror the mirror would be on the wall and because we dont want to see the character to much which may give away her identity the room would be very dark with only limited light.

Ok so the room is made so i made some props that are needed some make up.

New Projects or Projects!!!!

Ok so new term and new projects and this project named Industry Exercises 3 is basically to produce broadcast quality work for either Help third year animation students with there short films, produce some work towards Rave 2011 the final year show or to find an external client to work towards a brief.

I have chosen to be rather radical and do all three of these because i have agreed to work with colleagues on the course on a secret production project and i have an external client that wants a short animation done for a short film he is producing and finally i am working on a final year portfolio piece for a third year content development student. On top of all this i have agreed to do a few shots of animation for a third year film.

This is gonna be busy but i feel after this i will have 4 production quality pieces available to use for showreel and also to create contacts within the industry.

This is the brief for the external client
